Georg Gottlieb Langheinrich founded a weaving mill in Schlitz in 1832 that quickly developed into a textile business with an excellent reputation. Since then product engineering and production process have constantly been optimized to conform the changing market requirements. In doing so Langheinrich has kept its position as a trailblazer and market leader particularly with regard to cutting-edge technologies. Langheinrich has established itself as one of the biggest weaving mills in Germany and is operating worldwide.

The complete production process as well as logistics, design, packing and despatch are taken care of by Langheinrich in-house. Only high quality indanthrene dyed yarns (cotton, linen and polyester) that provide an excellent colour fastness are being bought in addition.

Production is carried out on 84 looms, 64 of them Jacquard of the latest kind.

Linen up to 2, 80 widths can be produced on those looms. Manufacturing technologies at the highest stage, strictly adhered quality specifications, accredited eco-audit and constant quality control are guarantors for premium products. Highlight of the production: individual logos and labels can be woven into all products. The general manager of Langheinrich, Mr. Burkhard Oel describes the advantage: “With this procedure we are able to provide our customers with their own linen collection”.

.

120 employees see to it that our 1700 customers – laundry services, Hotel and catering businesses as well as hospitals and retirement homes are provided with excellent consultancy, service and flexibility.

“The durability of our products, as well as quick production, efficient and flexible delivery is very important to our customers” adds Mr. Oel. “To achieve this, our main efforts are to increase and optimize efficiency of production and to rationalize logistical procedures.”

.
The trend at Langheinrich is to manufacture fashionable premium damask – jacquard linen, with extraordinary designs that combine classiness with quality. Since 2008 the focus of interest of Langheinrich`s business policy is to expand international activities.
